Professional English for Work
For clear, confident communication in professional environments
A focused programme designed to help you communicate clearly, professionally, and confidently at work – in meetings, discussions, and situations where how you express yourself directly affects how your ideas are received and how you are perceived.
This is where you move from “I know what I want to say” to expressing it clearly, appropriately, and with confidence in professional settings, including those where you may feel under pressure or need to respond in real time.
Focus areas
- Speaking clearly and confidently in meetings and discussions
- Expressing ideas professionally and with structure
- Writing clear, effective emails and messages
- Using appropriate tone and language at work

How you’ll learn
Sessions are built around realistic workplace scenarios – meetings, emails, presentations, and discussions you are likely to face, including situations where you need to think and respond quickly.
You’ll practise expressing your ideas in a structured way, receive detailed feedback, and refine how you communicate so it feels natural, not rehearsed.
By the end of the programme, you will:
- Contribute more confidently to meetings and professional discussions
- Express your ideas clearly and with greater impact
- Write emails that are clear, concise, and appropriate
- Respond more naturally and confidently under pressure
- Feel more assured in how you communicate with colleagues and senior staff
You’ll get the most from this programme when you apply what we cover in your day-to-day work.
